## Introduction

I first heard of Miami Fruit because I was on one of my favorite vegan blogger’s Instagram pages, and she had a selfie with a massive avocado. I trusted her judgment and gave this company a try. Unfortunately, I ran into many problems with my holiday produce box that I had to give it a poor rating.

## Miami Fruit Holiday Produce Box (3/10)

I got [my holiday box](https://miamifruit.org/?ref=mischievousmonsters.com) to have some lovely produce to display at my family’s Christmas celebration. Unfortunately, it came a few days early, and most was spoiled when Christmas arrived. Most of the above video was recorded the day after Christmas.

However, most of the fruit came to my house in one piece and fresh. I had a few problems after that. First off, I didn’t get how to store everything. I tried looking on the web pages of the products that I figured out their names, but these instructions weren’t there. The paper instructions in the box said to let everything set out to breathe but nothing else.

After the fact, I found [Miami Fruit’s ripening guide](https://miamifruit.org/blogs/news/ripening-guide?ref=mischievousmonsters.com) in a prominent spot, so plain sight that I don’t get why I didn’t notice it earlier. Even with that guide, I wasn’t sure what most fruits were, to the point where fruit connoisseurs would have thought my guesses were hilarious. My apologies for not seeing most of the fruits in my box before.

Usually, boxes like this include a packing list that states the amount and kinds of fruit in the package. I got a packing list saying I ordered a holiday box for Christmastime. That was so helpful in telling the difference between fruit and poop. I thought a black sapote was spoiled because it looked like a super bruised apple on the inside, but it wasn’t even ripe yet.

## Conclusion

I think I explained why I’m very salty about my Miami Fruit order enough. Check out my reviews on [Melissa’s Produce](https://mischievousmonsters.com/melissas-produce-vlog/?ref=mischievousmonsters.com) and Misfits Market if you’re into produce boxes. Have fun shopping for produce, no matter if it’s in person or online.
